Lutyens Crypt, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral
Working with EK Bassa Associates, we prepared the Business
Plan to support the RC Diocese of Liverpool’s bid to ERDF
for £1million to convert the Lutyens designed crypt with
the RC Cathedral into a Visitor and Archive Centre.

Scoping Study of the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund in Sefton MBC & Development
of an NRF and Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy
The original project was a scoping study to advise Sefton Metropolitan
Borough Council on the potential for NRF spending in Sefton, and to assess
their proposed NRF programme. It led to a larger commission to prepare a
general Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy which was shaped around a specific
NRF strategy. The methods used included significant public consultation
across the Borough, newsletters, primary research and stakeholder and
beneficiary consultation

Five Community Centre Study, Blackburn
We were commissioned by Blackburn with Darwen Metropolitan Borough
Council to carry out a Feasibility Study into the future of five
existing council-owned Community Centres. Working with Community
Technical Aid Lancashire, we produced fully costed and appraised
options for each centre which looked at:
• Current and future uses.
• Management and governance issues.
• Likely revenue and capital needs.

Blackpool South Beach
PS Consultants has been appointed by Blackpool City Council to carry
out community and stakeholder consultation in early 2009 in South
Beach area of the resort to agree the future approach to land use
planning and development through The Area Action Plan (AAP). Keith Keeley,
an independent consultant working on the AAP for Blackpool Council said thank
you "...for the excellent work which you have undertaken for the Council
on this project. We have been impressed by the quality of your presentations
in making quite complex subject matter understandable to the community."

Funding Bids
We have made many successful funding bids to EU and UK funding sources
including ESF, ERDF, Housing Corporation, Sport England, Awards for
All, New Opportunities Fund, SRB, RSLs and Charitable Trusts.
Successful bids include:
- £9.5m from the Estate Renewal Challenge Fund to finance the ‘Changing Avenham’ LSVT strategy (with PCA).
- £1.8m from Sports Lottery for the St Augustine’s New Avenham Centre project.
- £840,000 from the New Opportunities Fund/DfEE Community Access to Lifelong Learning programme
for the St Augustine’s New Avenham Centre project.
- £1.5m from Preston SRB6 also for St Augustine’s project.
- £302,000 from the New Opportunities Fund to establish the Avenham Healthy Living Centre.
- £255,000 from the New Opportunities Fund for the St.Augustine’s New Avenham Centre.
- £127,000 from the Housing Corporation to support the AvenQuest Community Regeneration Trust.
- £60,000 from ESF to support capacity building projects in Preston
- £58,000 from the Tudor Trust to support the Burnley ELAC Centre.
- £56,000 from the Tudor Trust to support the AvenQuest Community Regeneration Trust.
- £55,000 from the Lancashire County Council Children’s Fund also to support the ELAC.
- £36,000 from the Lankelly Foundation and £33,000 from Esmee Fairburn to support the Tree of Life Project,
Wythenshawe
- £8,600 from Awards for All for Horwich RMI Cricket Club.
